We had a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone. Our guide Jon was extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. We intend to come back next year.
Our tour guide, Lori, was very short-tempered and intolerant. She led the tour very quickly, kept her voice tone very low when explaining so most of the group could barely hear, and was extremely unwelcoming if we’d stop shortly during th..e tour to take photos. She threatened that after 2 warnings for taking photos or not following her guidance, she will stop the person from continuing her tour and send them back to the truck; that sounded really rude.
Overall, I wouldn’t take this tour again or recommend to anyone else. And I think it was overpriced for the experience we had.Read full review
Very nice tour with the highlights from the area. Great guide, great campsites - good mood in the group- also thanks to Alex our tour guide. A great experience, gladly again
First and foremost, I must say that this 3 day, 2 night 'guided tour' by Jon (No 'H' please), was hands down the best guided tour I have ever taken. I have traveled with my family all over the world, but never experienced anything like this... We flew in to Las Vegas from California and met friends from Boston who wanted to see the Grand Canyon. My friend was very reluctant to take a tour because in the past she had done so to the Hoover Dam and said it was a silver-haired boring experience. This one was a complete 180, and she can't stop talking about it. From the moment Jon picked us up, he was a complete professional and and a true gentleman. He helped everyone on with their bags, accommodated everyone on the chartered van, and always let us know where we would be going and when and where we would be stopping. In those three days and two nights, we saw way more than we possibly could have imagined. Jon was so efficient with the itinerary and made sure he took us to key spots to take it all in. We had just enough time at each spot to see what we wanted to. We saw Zion Park, Antelope Valley, the Horseshoe, Powell Lake, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, a Navajo Reservation, and the Grand Canyon. In between stops, Jon became an entertainer with his great sense of humor and taught and informed us with a phd level of education from everything from Geology to Native American History to US History, etc. The tour was no less than fascinating. We traveled in a very comfortable van with 14 seats and met friends from Australia, Scotland, and Iran. The five of us were American. To maximize time, while we were visiting, Jon went out and bought great foods for us to make two picnic lunches that were awesome. He checked us in to two hotels that were awesome, and even brought us to the best Trading Post to buy authentic Souvenirs. Traveling with him made everything so much fun. We all laughed and shared information and stories. I came home with a book list and movie list of titles Jon referred to. I think it is incredible to have a guide that makes such a great traveling companion. I would do this tour over again in a heart beat, not only for the parks, but for the amazing tour guide. I'm guessing this company has all great guides, but I can't imagine one that would be better than Jon. This tour was well worth the cost. For the type of accommodations and information and guidance, I would have thought they would have charged three times. This was a world class travel experience that we will never forget, and we are already planning a second trip to Yellowstone. Way to go Jon! Way to go!Read full review
Fast tour of the area! See a heap and fit in lots! Jon was great at being flexible with weather and food! Very entertaining but be prepared to move quickly and have early mornings. Super organised!
Every place we went to was breath-taking. Amongst my favorite moments was hiking through Antelope Canyon. Jeeping through Monument Valley and learning all about this Native American land. The Grand Canyon took my breath away. And the Route ..66 drive back to Vegas was awesome, and so much fun. Must be said though that our tour guide and minibus driver, Brad, had a lot to do with the tour being amazing. He gave so much of himself, gave us heaps of interesting info about all the places, and was a great bloke and amazing American. Thank you Brad!Read full review
I recently took the three-day Canyon-lands tour, which started and ended in Las Vegas. It is a whirlwind, as you cover 1,100 miles in the three-days, so if you’re not up to a fast pace this isn’t the tour for you, but I truly had a blas..t. We visited Zion and Bryce National Parks the first day, which were breathtaking. The next day we went to Antelope Canyon, which is just mind-blowing and can only be visited with a Navajo Guide, which was all arranged. Then on to Monument Valley where many of the old Westerns were filmed, again with a Navajo Guide. We even had dinner at a Navajo home and were treated to Navajo tacos (on flatbread). The final day is the Grand Canyon, which made me feel very, very small and took my breath away. I opted for the helicopter flight over the canyon, which was totally worth it. With my 11 new friends, we hiked, ate, laughed and just had a great time thanks to our trusty guide Marie, who is absolutely wonderful. She kept us all going and truly knew the history of the area. She was also an excellent driver of the very nice, new van we were in. I would highly recommend it.Read full review
1st thing the guide didn't speak good English and he spoke almost all the time in chinesse was really confuse when he was speaking Chinese and then he change to English a disaster to understand the directions.
2nd thing I paid for lunch in..cluded in the tour, the bus stop at 2:30 in a mall there was a subway restaurand and he told us to wait inside and never showed up I had to go and look for him, he was relax eating his lunch in another restaurant while my friends and I were starving then he gave us a sandwich that worth less than 6 dollars and I could not even choose what ingredients I wanted in my sandwich because in a subway I can choose the vegetables sauces etc.Read full review
The English of the guide was difficult to understand, he also give priority to the chinese tourists ,he was in a hurry all the time and he created a stressful environment.
But the guide in the Canyon was good, he cared more about people and.. explained better.Read full review
