The bus was very old, looked dirty. No wifi, no backseat basket, no cup holder, and no garbage bag hanging in the front of the bus. The tour guide we had either tired or didn't know much, hardly gave any background info for the sites we pas..sed through, (except for golden gate bridge), most talk was to inform us when to come back, where was the bathroom and to sale the optional activities and their associated restaurants. Most of us had no interaction with the guide and the driver, the driver didn't talk at all, not even a smile, and rushed us to get off the bus so he could park. The first Hotel we stayed, we needed to carry luggage all the way to the back and to the second floor, no elevator, the building looked like a motel. The room itself was alright tho. Both nights hotel was far out of the city. The tour managed to squeeze in many sites, but we didn't see much of the place at all, Some sites only 10- 15 minutes stop which including bathroom time. The bus took the shortest route, was not driving along the coast/Hwy 1 at all. We had a stop at the very beginning of the 17 miles drive, then turned to Monterey aquarium. We didn't even see the big famous cypress tree and Snow White sand beach, my biggest disappointment. I can't say I visited 17 miles. For the optional activities, I'd rather take a stroll In town than taking the cruise or visit the aquarium, or you won't have time left. The mandatory fee, you pay for visiting the university (I never paid a cent to enter university in North America), and you pay extra for the bus to take you around the city, shouldn't this be included in the tour's base fare already? I do not recommend this tour.Read full review
