The Arizona resort city situated on the stunning Lake Havasu that gives it its name also is the location of the London Bridge that was transported over to the United States by boat in pieces from England. Lake Havasu City was established in 1963 after businessman Robert P. McCulloch purchased 3,353 acres of land east of the lake in 1953 and 13,000 more acres a few years later. Popular city attractions are Lake Havasu, the London Bridge, The Aquatic Center, Wheeler Park, The Shops at Lake Havasu and Havasu 95 Speedway.
