Famous worldwide for the Running of the Bulls during the San Fermin festival, the town’s patron saint, visitors to Pamplona can also see the statue of Ernest Hemingway on Paseo de Hemingway. It was his novel The Sun Also Rises that first romanticized the Running of the Bulls, in which Papa himself was known to participate. For a less stimulating adventure, Pamplona’s well-preserved historical center should not be missed.
