The city of Sault Ste. Marie is located on St. Mary's River in Ontario, Canada. Sault Ste. Marie was established as one settlement in the 17th century and was incorporated as a city in 1912. To the south, across the river, is the Unite States and the city of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The city is known for its steel-making and for its MS Norgoma museum ship that is docked at Roberta Bondar Park. The city is also popular for its tourism and has many attractions including the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, the Sault Ste. Marie Canal and many boat tours of the Sault locks.
